Ukraine Reports Recapturing Eight Settlements Along Oleksandrivka Front

(MENAFN) Ukrainian forces have reportedly recaptured eight settlements along the Oleksandrivka front since late January, according to the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In a statement on Telegram, Oleksandr Syrskyi said he had met with field commanders during a visit to southern Ukraine to review ongoing combat operations and determine priority measures to support Ukrainian units. He described conditions along the front as “difficult,” noting that while some forces maintain defensive positions, others are actively conducting offensives.

“Since the end of January this year, formations of the Air Assault Forces together with adjacent units have restored control over 400 square kilometers (154 square miles) of territory and eight settlements on the Oleksandrivka direction,” Syrskyi said, without providing the names of the recaptured settlements.
